Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Welder / Fabricator to join their growing manufacturing team. As a key member of the fabrication team, you’ll help manufacture high-quality industrial steel doors that are shipped to customers around the world. With a diverse fabrication process and variety of equipment, this position offers plenty of opportunities to strengthen your existing skills while learning new ones.
Pay & Schedule:
- $20–$25/hour DOQ
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Full-Time
- Steel toe boots required
Position Overview
The Welder / Fabricator will perform welding, fabrication, machining, and related production tasks using a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate has previous welding and fabrication experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to accurately read and work from blueprints.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication on industrial steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and production specifications
- Measure, cut, prepare, and fabricate materials according to project requirements
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Safely operate fabrication equipment and machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work independently while contributing to overall team production goals
- Assist with additional fabrication and production responsibilities as needed
Tools & Equipment
Qualified candidates should have experience working with a variety of fabrication tools and equipment, including:
- Welding equipment
- Lathe
- Bandsaw
- Drill press
- CNC plasma table
- Micrometer
- General hand and power tools
Qualifications
- Previous welding and/or fabrication experience required
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Experience with fabrication machinery and measuring equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn additional equipment and fabrication processes
- Steel toe boots or shoes required
