Senior Accountant
CV Resources is assisting a long-standing financial and business services client in Corvallis on their search for a Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, regulated environment and contributing to the financial integrity of a well-established organization.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. This position works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data, support audits, and assist with strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and investigate variances.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management review.
- Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Support external audits and regulatory examinations by gathering and preparing requested documentation.
- Reconcile cash, investment, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational accounting policies.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to support operational and financial objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and audit support.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- CPA designation or CPA track preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of $80,000 - $95,000, depending on experience.
