Acquisition Manager – SBA & Small Business Acquisitions
Base Salary: $115,000–$125,000 + Significant Acquisition Bonuses
This role offers meaningful earning potential beyond the base salary. The successful candidate will be eligible for substantial performance-based bonuses tied to completed acquisitions, deal quality, capital structure, and the long-term value created for the company.
Stay Awhile Villas is building an acquisition platform focused on acquiring hospitality, service, and other cash-flowing businesses. We are seeking an experienced acquisition professional who can source opportunities, evaluate businesses, negotiate creative transactions, and help lead deals from initial outreach through closing.
This is not a traditional salaried acquisitions position. You will work directly with executive leadership, have significant influence over acquisition strategy, and participate financially in the value you help create.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and identify attractive acquisition opportunities through direct outreach, brokers, referral partners, and proprietary channels.
- Build trusted relationships with business owners, brokers, lenders, and industry partners.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, operating reports, and supporting documentation.
- Build financial models and complete detailed business valuations and underwriting.
- Evaluate acquisition risks, operational opportunities, growth potential, and expected returns.
- Structure transactions using conventional financing, SBA financing, seller financing, earnouts, and other creative structures.
- Prepare clear investment recommendations for executive leadership.
- Negotiate purchase price, terms, financing structure, and other key transaction points.
- Coordinate due diligence with legal, accounting, lending, insurance, and operational teams.
- Support transactions from initial outreach through closing and post-acquisition transition.
- Help develop the company’s long-term acquisition pipeline and investment strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced financial education is a plus.
- Experience in business acquisitions, M&A, corporate development, private equity, investment banking, business brokerage, SBA lending, or a closely related field.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting skills.
- Ability to evaluate financial statements and identify business, financial, and operational risks.
- Understanding of SBA lending and small-business transaction structures is strongly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
Successful Candidates Will
- Consistently identify high-quality acquisition opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with business owners and referral partners.
- Present well-researched and financially sound investment opportunities.
- Structure creative transactions that preserve capital and maximize long-term value.
- Support successful acquisitions from initial outreach through closing.
- Contribute meaningfully to the long-term growth of Stay Awhile Villas and its affiliated companies.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $115,000–$125,000, depending on experience.
- Significant performance-based acquisition bonuses with the potential to materially increase total annual compensation.
- Bonuses will be based on completed transactions, deal quality, financial structure, and the overall value created for the company.
- Direct access to executive leadership and involvement in high-impact strategic decisions.
- Long-term career growth within an expanding acquisition platform.
- Paid vacation and holidays.
- Health insurance.
- 401(k).
- Additional benefits based on experience.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
We are not hiring someone simply to process transactions.
We are looking for someone who thinks like an investor, negotiates like an entrepreneur, and is motivated by building long-term enterprise value. You will help identify the businesses that define the next phase of our growth and will have the opportunity to benefit financially from the acquisitions you help complete.
