Handyman / Field Technician — $20 per hour
Solid Handyman LLC is hiring a dependable, capable Field Technician to join our growing team in Stafford, Virginia. This is a hands-on position completing residential repairs, installations, maintenance, and improvement projects.
You’ll work within established company systems, clear job scopes, and defined quality standards. Some jobs will be completed alongside the team, while others may be assigned for you to handle independently once you’re ready.
We care less about an impressive résumé than we do about how you work. The right person is honest, dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable using tools, and able to learn quickly. Relevant construction, maintenance, assembly, installation, or repair experience is helpful, but character, judgment, and consistency matter just as much.
Typical work may include: - Furniture and equipment assembly - TV mounting, shelving, and wall-mounted installations - Fixture and hardware replacement - Drywall and trim repairs - Doors, gates, and minor carpentry - Punch-list work and general home repairs - Jobsite setup, protection, cleanup, and material handling - Communicating clearly with customers and documenting completed work We’re looking for someone who:
- Shows up on time and follows through - Takes pride in doing clean, professional work - Can follow instructions and established procedures
- Is comfortable working independently and solving problems
- Treats customers, coworkers, and customers’ homes with respect
- Communicates honestly when something is unclear or goes wrong
- Can use common hand and power tools safely
- Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Can lift and carry typical tools, materials, and equipment
- Is comfortable using a smartphone for schedules, job details, photos, and timekeeping
