Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented part-time Grounds & Maintenance Assistant to support our full-time maintenance team member. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining clean, beautiful, and welcoming grounds. While this position will occasionally assist with general maintenance tasks, the primary focus will be on landscaping, exterior cleanliness, and upkeep of the patio and outdoor areas.
The Manor is under new ownership as of May 2023 and has undergone extensive renovations. We are a collaborative, enthusiastic team looking for someone who wants to grow with us!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the full-time maintenance team member with day-to-day tasks.
- Maintain the appearance of outdoor grounds, including landscaping, weeding, trimming, planting, and lawn care.
- Keep walkways, patios, and entrances clean and safe by removing debris, sweeping, power washing, and seasonal snow removal.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of outdoor furniture, lighting, and decor.
- Perform basic exterior repairs and upkeep, including light painting, caulking, and touch-ups.
- Assist with setup and breakdown for outdoor events when needed.
- Keep tools and equipment organized and in good working condition.
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and outdoor equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and good communication skills.
Schedule:
- Part-time hours with flexibility, including weekends or early mornings, based on weather and event needs.
