Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical projects within the construction industry. In this role, you will oversee the quality control, project progress, and assist with change orders and pre-task planning. Your expertise in electrical engineering principles, system design, and construction management will drive project success from inception to completion. Responsibilities
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to establish project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage project schedules using scheduling software to ensure timely progression of all phases.
- Oversee construction site activities related to electrical systems installation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical documents using Bluebeam or ProCore for accuracy and clarity.
- Monitor project progress through regular site inspections, progress reports, and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to contracts, specifications, and safety protocols while managing multiple tasks efficiently through strong time management skills.
- Facilitate project coordination meetings to resolve issues promptly and keep all team members aligned on project goals.
- Conduct system design reviews to optimize electrical layouts for efficiency and sustainability.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within the construction or heavy civil industries is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical system design, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site experience.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, construction management practices, and project scheduling tools.
- Strong background in contract management, project coordination, and safety compliance on active job sites.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, system design principles, and construction best practices is required.
