Bestway of New York, Inc.—a wholesale lumber pressure-treater and building products distributor—is searching for a Local CDL A Truck Driver at our facility in Cortland, NY.
Responsibilities of a Local CDL A Truck Driver:
- Safe operation of company tractor and flatbed with manual transmission.
- Delivery throughout the Northeast market, or other areas as needed.
- Professional, timely delivery of product to customers
- Maintaining truck cleanliness and a positive company image
- Compliance with all Federal and State regulations
- Performance of vehicle safety inspections
- Adherence to ELD rules and regulations
- Staying current on company training
- Tarping loads
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications of a Local CDL A Truck Driver
- Candidates must be willing to work overtime, especially during the busy late-spring to early fall seasons, but drivers are generally home every night.
- Flat-bed experience is mandatory
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Clean Driving Record.
- Candidates must have a valid CDL-A driver’s license, and pass a pre-employment drug test
- ALL levels of experience will be considered—including entry level—but experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
