Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Arts Program Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, administration, implementation, and evaluation of the organization's Arts Education Program. This position exercises independent judgment and discretion in program planning, curriculum development, budget management, partnership cultivation, resource allocation, and program improvement initiatives.
The Arts Program Manager serves as the organizational subject matter expert for Arts programming and is responsible for ensuring that all Arts programs align with organizational goals, youth development outcomes, grant requirements, and community needs. The position provides programmatic leadership and oversight across multiple program sites and supports the development of high-quality arts experiences for youth.
Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities).
· Direct the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Arts Education Program.
· Establish program goals, performance metrics, and outcome measures to evaluate program effectiveness and participant engagement.
· Ensure a fun, healthy and safe youth-friendly environment, ensuring facilities, grounds, equipment, and supplies are clean and well maintained.
· Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
· Design and maintain comprehensive arts curricula, instructional frameworks, and program standards for implementation across multiple sites.
· Lead the cultivation, development, and management of relationships with schools, community organizations, artists, cultural institutions, and other strategic partners.
· Plan, promote and coordinate Art activities during afterschool and summer hours.
· Oversee the development and implementation of specialty arts initiatives, workshops, camps, and enrichment opportunities.
· Takes an active and energetic role in recruiting members for activities each day.
· Represent the Club in meetings, community events, and collaborative initiatives related to Arts programming.
· Collaborate with organizational leadership on grant-supported initiatives and partnership agreements impacting Arts programming.
· Recognize and react quickly to problems and stop the undesirable activity.
· Plans and implements an ongoing and comprehensive program staff training in conjunction with the Operations Team.
· Develop, administer, and monitor the annual Arts Program budget.
· Forecast program expenditures and resource needs to ensure fiscal responsibility and program sustainability.
· Complete attendance reports, program schedules, calendars, and other reporting requirements in accordance with due dates.
· Advertise program through a variety of sources: school newsletter/website, monthly take-home calendars, etc.
· Approve purchases and expenditures within established authorization limits and organizational policies.
· Complete accident or incident reports when appropriate, according to company procedures.
· Attend and assist with special events & fundraisers including (but not limited to) annual Crab Feed, Night for Great Futures, Youth of the Year and Halloween Carnival.
· Participate in team meetings as requested.
· Attend trainings offered through BGCNV or partner agencies as requested by immediate supervisor.
· Maintain open communication and a positive relationship with other staff, parents, teachers, tutors and other school personnel.
· Communicate concerns or issues with immediate supervisor as they arise.
· Responsible for leading or supporting summer and day camp programs on non-school days at various locations, as needed.
· At least 1 year of experience implementing Art programs for groups of youth.
· Bachelor’s Degree from and accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent experience.
· Must be able to meet minimum qualification of school district Instructional Aide as set forth by NVUSD.
· Pre-employment tuberculosis screening.
· Pre-employment criminal background screenings.
· Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
· Mandatory CPR & First Aid certifications (training provided by BGCNV).
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time while supervising youth in both indoor and outdoor settings.
· Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (program supplies, snack supplies, etc.).
· Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
· Ability to drive a vehicle with a trailer attachment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
