Veterinary Technician / Medical Team Member

At Happy Tails Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VEC), we handle the cases that can’t wait. As an emergency-only practice in Greensboro, NC, we’re here when pets need us most—and our medical team is the reason we can deliver care with skill, speed, and compassion.
We’re looking for dedicated veterinary technicians and medical support team members who want to grow their skills, make a meaningful impact, and be part of a team that values both excellence and empathy. Whether you're just getting started or have years of emergency experience, you'll be supported, mentored, and empowered every step of the way.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of our medical team, you’ll:

Assist in triage and stabilization of emergency patients
Monitor patients in ICU and inpatient care with close attention to detail
Perform technical tasks including IV catheter placement, blood draws, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, lab work, and more
Support DVMs during exams, procedures, and surgeries
Maintain accurate and thorough medical notes in a fast-paced environment
Communicate clearly with clients, especially in high-stress or emotional situations
Work side-by-side with a team that’s passionate, collaborative, and always learning

Qualifications

Previous veterinary experience required (1+ years in general practice or emergency preferred)
Credentialed technicians (RVT, LVT, CVT) are strongly encouraged to apply—but we welcome skilled non-credentialed team members as well
Able to remain calm, compassionate, and focused in a high-pressure environment
Comfortable handling critical and sometimes unstable patients
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays
