Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice occupational therapy.
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred; new graduates with a strong interest in pediatrics encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Genuine passion for helping children achieve independence and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate pediatric patients to determine functional abilities, limitations, and treatment needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, daily living activities, and overall function.
- Provide therapy in a play-based, engaging environment that promotes participation and progress.
- Educate and collaborate with families, caregivers, physicians, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with state, federal, and insurance regulations.
- Stay current on the latest pediatric occupational therapy techniques, research, and best practices.
