SUMMARY: This position is responsible for acting as first person the patient meets via office visit or calling the dental office; performing scheduling, records handling and entry, correspondence and facilitating records request.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greets patients.

Registers new patients according to established office protocols.

Assists patients with completing all necessary forms and documentations.

Verifies and updates patient information.

Enters all relevant patient information into data system.

Maintains and manages patient records in compliance with privacy security regulations.

Answers and manages incoming calls.
-
Responds and complies to requests and recalls according to office protocol.

Fills in cancellations and no-shows.
-
Collects and maintains receives payments from patients at time of treatment.

Informs patients of financial treatment plan options.
-
Sends out Missed Appointment letters.

Maintains a professional reception area.
-
Confirm appointments.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consults with patients and family members to discuss their dental problems.

Educates patients about their condition, medication, and gives them specific instructions.

Develops a treatment plan to address their personal dental care needs.

Consults and collaborates with other dental providers and specialists to set up patient appointments and treatment plans.

Checks-in on the patient regularly and evaluates and document their progress.

Assists the care team with developing and accessing health interventions.

Attends ongoing training and courses to keep abreast of new developments in health care.

Assists with securing funding for dental care as required.

Treats patients with empathy and respect and conducts oneself in a professional manner.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma
-
One to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer skills required: Database Software; Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and Publisher software.

Other skills required:
-
At least 1 years' experience in care coordination or clinical practices.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
-
Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Working knowledge of dental terminology.
