Duties
- Skillfully apply fondant and other decorative elements to cakes, cupcakes, and baked goods, ensuring smooth finishes and precise detailing
- Package finished products carefully for delivery or display, maintaining food safety standards throughout the process
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in accordance with food safety management practices
- Support catering events or restaurant service by providing beautifully decorated cakes and desserts that meet customer specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or a similar food industry role with a focus on fondant work
- Strong skills in food preparation, baking, and food handling with an understanding of high-volume production processes
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques including piping, molding, sculpting, and applying edible decorations
- Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols, knife skills, and food safety management systems
- Experience working in fast-paced environments such as bakeries, catering services, or restaurants
- Excellent customer service skills to understand client preferences and deliver tailored dessert designs
- Maintain precision and attention to detail
