Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a Middle School Humanities teacher with a background in Special Education. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field and have prior experience working in classroom settings with students representing a wide range of learning styles and needs.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of how to support students with varying learning challenges, including but not limited to language-based learning disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and anxiety. The successful candidate will be collaborative and a strong team player, with the ability to differentiate instruction, monitor student progress, and analyze assessment data to inform instruction.
In addition, the candidate must be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with parents, partnering closely with families to support student growth and success. A warm, nurturing approach to teaching and a genuine commitment to meeting the needs of each student are essential. Experience teaching Math and/or familiarity with Judaics is a plus, but not required.
