Job Summary
As a Barista working under a licensed coffee brand, you will be the heart of the customer experience, creating welcoming environments and serving high-quality beverages. Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following company recipes and standards
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Greet customers warmly, taking orders efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas
- Handle cash register operations, processing cash transactions and giving correct change with precision
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and merchandise to ensure the café is well-equipped throughout each shift
- Follow food safety guidelines during food preparation and beverage service to uphold health standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service within a café or retail environment
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and inventory management
- Ability to prepare beverages accurately while adhering to quality standards
- Effective time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with cleaning routines necessary for maintaining hygiene standards in food service areas
- Familiarity with retail sales transactions and cash handling procedures in a fast-paced environment
