Bank Branch Manager
We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Branch Manager to lead the daily operations, team development, customer experience, and business growth of a small community bank branch. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment, ensuring operational soundness, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the financial needs of individuals, families, and small businesses in the community.
The position requires a strong commitment to exceptional customer service and the development of positive relationships with both internal and external customers. Employees must maintain the product knowledge necessary to effectively identify cross-selling opportunities, educate customers on the benefits of the Association’s products and services, and promote those products and services in a professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise branch staff, including coaching, development and discipline to help meet goals, strict adherence to policies and procedures and providing exceptional customer service
- Approve paid time off, create schedules for staff and assure staff hours/costs are within established criteria
- Generate new business within branch market for deposit accounts and loan products
- Process loan applications, pursuant to authority, policy and procedure
- Prepare accurate reports as requested by management
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries
- Maintain a strong, visible and positive presence in the community
- Comply with all bank policies, regulations and laws applicable to carry out duties and responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises branch staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include:
o Interviewing and training employees
o Planning, assigning and directing work
o Rewarding and disciplining employees
o Addressing complaints and resolving problems
Technicals Skills Needed
- Knowledge and experience of operating a computer, calculator and other general office equipment
- Excellent social and communication skills
- Use professional and clear verbal communication skills
- High quality writing skills, accurate word usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation in all written correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
- Use professional phone etiquette, including tone and volume of voice
General Skills Needed
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced, changing environment and maintain a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to work Saturday hours
- Ability to follow policies, procedures and written instructions, as well as verbal instructions or directions from a supervisor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to get along well with coworkers and to work as a part of Slovenian Savings & Loan’s team, working towards Association’s goals set forth by its Board of Directors
- Regular, timely attendance during assigned work hours
- Normal physical strength to handle routine office materials and tools
- Normal dexterity of hands and fingers
- Occasional lifting and transporting up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional overtime and after-hours work required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience within a bank
- A thorough knowledge of branch operations, lending policies and customer relations
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
