Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and surface sanitation to uphold high cleanliness standards
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygienic environments
- Conduct laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and specialized floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and safety
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to proper safety protocols
- Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or porch cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance when required
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, equipment operation, and floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, sanitation standards, and proper use of janitorial equipment
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete assignments promptly
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not mandatory
