Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Mechanics in the construction and installation of elevators.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Perform basic electrical and mechanical work, including wiring, testing and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Handle and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for each project.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving operational issues with elevators.
- Prepare work areas by setting up safety barriers and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized and safe at all times.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to industry standards.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisors promptly
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- Prior experience in construction or a related manual labor field is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and practices
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and eagerness to develop new skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites and punctuality are highly valued
- This position requires working out of town for minimum 3 weeks at a time
- Drug free workplace (must pass drug test)
- Need valid Driver License and SSI card
- Not afraid of heights
- Ability to work in standing position for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in metric and English units of measure
- Skilled in assembling products that meet quality standar
