The Application Analyst for Information Technology at the City of Wichita serves as a critical bridge between business operations and technical solutions, providing direct support to the Public Works department and other enterprise systems. This role plans, designs, implements, and maintains specialized applications, including Selectron IVR, 1Password, and CIS, ensuring seamless operation and timely delivery of critical services. The position performs system analysis, testing, debugging, installation, and maintenance, while delivering hands-on support, training, and guidance to end users.
By optimizing application performance, maintaining system security, and coordinating upgrades and patches, the Application Analyst ensures operational continuity and efficiency. The role also contributes to process improvement, reporting automation, data integrity, and vendor management, directly supporting municipal service delivery and critical departmental functions.
Workdays and Hours - Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Anticipated starting salary: $61,184.00 - 84,984.00 (based on experience and qualifications).

Four (4) years of experience in application support or system analysis, including software development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, system upgrades, and end-user support.

A valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience and Training

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.

Four (4) of experience supporting enterprise applications in municipal, public works, or government environments.
Starting pay for current City employees will be determined by City of Wichita policy or applicable bargaining unit agreement.
