KNR Services is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Staff Development Manager to lead our recruiting, onboarding, employee development, compliance, and training initiatives. This is an opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building strong teams, developing employees, and helping an organization grow while making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director, Program Directors, and leadership team to ensure our employees receive exceptional support from recruitment through ongoing professional development.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD), Supported Living, Residential Services, or other Human Services fields.
Responsibilities
- Lead all recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities.
- Develop and deliver engaging orientation and ongoing employee training programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, licensing regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain employee personnel files, certifications, background checks, and training records.
- Provide guidance to supervisors regarding employee relations, coaching, and performance management.
- Coordinate employee benefits administration, leave management, and workers' compensation claims.
- Assist with quality assurance activities, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and employee growth.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and implement staff development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum three years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience designing and conducting employee training programs.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD), Supported Living, Residential Services, Behavioral Health, Healthcare, or Human Services.
- Experience working with state regulatory agencies and licensing requirements.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
