We're Salon Aken, an Aveda Concept Salon in the heart of Andersonville, and we're looking for a stylist who's ready for more than just a place to work. We're not a high-pressure, competitive salon. What You'll Do
- Provide exceptional haircuts, color, highlights, balayage, styling, and treatments
- Consult with guests to understand their vision and bring it to life with expert technique
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back
- Stay on top of trends and continue developing your craft
- Collaborate with a supportive team that encourages growth and creativity
You Might Be a Great Fit If You
- Are a licensed cosmetologist in Illinois
- Have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on salon experience
- Have strong skills in cutting, coloring, styling, and guest communication
- Love connecting with guests and making them feel amazing
- Want to grow your skills, income, and confidence in a salon where you can be yourself
- Are open to learning and aligning with our values around holistic beauty, sustainability, and guest care
- Are professional, reliable, and ready to contribute to a positive team culture
- Have a basic understanding of social media and promotion (a plus!)
