Creative Dining Services is looking for a personable, organized and skilled Cook to join the dining services team at Auto-Owners Insurance Dining Center in Lansing, MI. The Cook works within the Dining Services Department to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a fiscally responsible and safe manner. Works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any necessary aspect of the dining services program.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Minimum of 2 years cooking experience

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Core Responsibilities:

Prepare food items in a timely manner, according to established recipes and menus, focusing on freshness, quality and appeal

Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over- or under-production

Utilize safe food handling, holding and storage techniques at all times

Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately

Removal of refuse as needed

Putting away/Pulling stock as needed
