Duties:
- Must be able to go to clients home and have reliable transportation
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Promote independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being is protected
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations
Skills:
- Experience in senior care, nursing home, or home care settings preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and ability to recognize and report abnormalities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and make sound decisions in emergency situations
- Experience in social work or childcare is a plus
