Roots & Wings Preschool & Child Care is looking for a kind, dependable, energetic teacher to join our team for approximately 10–20hours per week. We are located less than 5 minutes north of USU.
This position can be a great fit for a parent looking for part-time work while their children are in school or a college student with a compatible class schedule.
IMPORTANT SCHEDULING REQUIREMENT:
Applicants must be consistently available Tuesdays and Thursdays from at least 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Additional daytime hours are available on other days depending on your availability. Please apply only if you are available during this time.
Previous experience working with young children is required.

Job Responsibilities
- Build warm, caring relationships with children and care for their physical and emotional needs.
- Actively play and engage with children throughout your shift.
- Assist with creating and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Participate in art, sensory activities, literacy, music, outdoor play, and other classroom activities.
- Help keep classrooms and play areas clean and organized.
- Work cooperatively with other teachers to create a positive and engaging environment for our children and staff.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with young children.
- Genuinely enjoys spending time with young children.
- Is dependable and consistent.
- Is energetic and enjoys actively playing and interacting with children.
- Is patient, kind, and nurturing.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Is consistently available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Students studying Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Human Development & Family Studies, Family & Consumer Sciences, or related fields are encouraged to apply, but you do not need to be a college student or have a specific degree.
