About the Role
Procon Roofing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial roofing projects. This role focuses on new construction and re-roofing projects, supporting our sales and project management teams with reliable pricing, forecasting, and analysis. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, and labour requirements, and takes pride in delivering precise and timely proposals that help drive project success.
What You’ll Do
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for new construction and re-roofing projects
- Research and compile pricing data for materials, subcontracted work, and labour
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates and bid packages aligned with company pricing strategies
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and operations teams to ensure clarity and accuracy in proposals
- Monitor market trends, vendor pricing, and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness
- Track and document estimates, bids, and revisions to support process improvements
- Participate in post-project reviews to analyze estimate accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities
What You Bring
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction or commercial roofing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to accuracy and detail
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, estimating software, and CRM systems
