Insurance Defense Associate

A highly regarded AM200 litigation firm is seeking an associate to join its growing Chicago defense practice.
This is an opportunity to handle sophisticated, high exposure litigation within a nationally recognised trial platform. The team represents insurers, corporations and professional clients in complex matters involving general liability, construction, transportation, product liability, professional liability and catastrophic injury.
The opportunity includes:
- Ownership of matters from initial investigation through resolution
- Depositions, motion practice, mediations and court appearances
- Direct contact with insurer and corporate clients
- Exposure to complex and potentially trial bound cases
- Strong partner mentorship and genuine progression prospects
Candidates should have three to eight years of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience is preferred, although attorneys from broader litigation backgrounds with strong deposition, writing and case management skills will also be considered.
Illinois Bar admission is required.
This role would suit an attorney looking to move beyond routine defense work and gain greater responsibility, stronger clients and a long term future within a leading AM200 litigation firm.
