JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Construction Coordinator, you are responsible for the management, administration, and coordination of the construction process. You will oversee the general contractor and work with the owner's team to ensure a safe work environment and have the project completed on time. You will be responsible for the project budget, project schedule, quality, safety and client relations etc. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, has a strong background in real estate and construction projects and can coordinate with all vendors and team members effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination of project mobilization, demobilization and equipment needs. Maintain and update a log of the tool inventory and job site check in for all employees and visitor
- Material and equipment procurement: storage, handling, and installation of all materials, finishes and furniture.
- Weekly Project Reports and Compliance Site Visits. Meeting Minutes to be distributed to team after site visits & inspections.
- Maintain coordination between the team, contractor, vendor and all associated parties
- Relationship development and maintenance with Owner, Subcontractors, and A/E firms
- Assist Property Managers, Superintendent(s), and Staff Level employees to resolve and troubleshoot minor issues and requests
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four-year Construction, Project Management / Architecture degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of managing projects
- Bi-lingual: English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of Commercial Construction, budgeting, means and methods, accounting, estimating completion times, project administration, and a general understanding of industry practices, specifically in NYC.
- Experience in the management of Superintendents and Project Support staff.
- Provide the action plan to the field team to ensure completion of the project on time, register and communicate to the internal team of changes agreed on site.
- Flexible Schedule: Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
- 40-hour NYC DOB SSM Course Cert.
- OSHA 30
