Job Summary
Xcell Communications is looking for a motivated and dependable Assistant District Manager to help oversee our 9-store Metro by T-Mobile district in the Huntsville/Decatur area.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Assistant District Manager will work closely with the District Manager and store managers to improve sales performance, develop employees, maintain operational standards, and deliver a strong customer experience.
The right candidate will be comfortable visiting stores regularly, coaching employees, reviewing performance results, and holding teams accountable.
Responsibilities
- Assist the District Manager with the daily oversight of 9 retail locations
- Visit stores regularly to evaluate performance and provide hands-on support
- Coach store managers and sales representatives on sales techniques and customer engagement
- Help stores achieve goals for activations, upgrades, accessories, protection, home internet, and other key performance measures
- Reinforce a sales-focused culture by teaching employees how to uncover customer needs and recommend the right solutions
- Review sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement
- Help store managers create and carry out performance improvement plans
- Support employee recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and development
- Communicate promotions, expectations, and company initiatives throughout the district
- Help maintain company standards for inventory, compliance, store appearance, and customer service
- Assist with resolving employee, operational, and customer concerns
- Provide store coverage and operational support when necessary
- Lead by example and maintain a professional, positive, and accountable work environment
Qualifications
- Retail management experience is required
- Wireless retail experience is strongly preferred
- Multi-store or district-level leadership experience is preferred
- Strong sales, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
- Comfortable reviewing sales reports and using performance data to make decisions
- Organized and able to manage multiple stores and priorities
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel regularly throughout the Huntsville/Decatur area
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
