Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Front of House Manager to lead our Service Team at the new Tommy's Pizza in Covington, the newest location of the Hammond original pizzeria. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and high quality food and beverage service. Your leadership will foster a fun atmosphere that delights guests and promotes a happy team environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting serving our famous Pizzas and draft beer.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and support personnel, to deliver outstanding guest experiences
- Oversee reservation management, seating arrangements, and waitlist procedures to maximize seating efficiency and reduce wait times
- Ensure all food service activities adhere to safety standards, food handling protocols, and cleanliness regulations
- Manage POS systems like Toast POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking
- Conduct staff training sessions on customer service excellence, food safety, POS operation, and hospitality best practices
- Monitor inventory levels of dining supplies and assist with ordering to maintain optimal stock levels
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty
Experience
- Proven experience in casual service or Pizza restaurant environments with a strong background in food prep, serving, or hospitality management
- Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in restaurant or food service settings with team leadership responsibilities
- Prior experience managing restaurant operations such as shift management, inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and culinary practices gained through fine dining or casual dining experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage managerial responsibilities confidently
- Experience in Pizza or Bar a plus but not required
