Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities
- Handle chemical agents safely and efficiently, following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and other janitorial tools to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Perform floor care tasks including mopping, sweeping, and carpet cleaning to ensure spotless surfaces
- Manage heavy lifting when moving furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling and industrial cleaning procedures
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain sanitation standards across all areas by adhering to hotel housekeeping management guidelines and custodial experience best practices
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a focus on hospitality standards
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation, and industrial cleaning techniques
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Skilled in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling
- Capable of performing heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during custodial duties
