The Arc of Plymouth & Upper Cape Cod is hiring a Full-Time Medication Administration Trainer and Coordinator.

As the Medication Administration Trainer and Coordinator, you will ensure direct care staff are trained, certified, and confident in administering medication in compliance with the Massachusetts Medication Administration Program (MAP). Working closely with the Director of Healthcare Services, nursing staff, Operations, and Quality Assurance, you will promote regulatory compliance, continuous quality improvement, and excellence in healthcare services across our programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the agency's MAP Trainer, conducting initial certifications, skills evaluations, and recertification training for staff.
- Coordinate medication administration systems across all DDS-funded programs, ensuring compliance with physician orders, pharmacy requirements, and DDS/MAP regulations.
- Conduct routine medication administration audits, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Review and finalize documentation related to medication errors, and participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Serve as a medication administration resource for residential and day program staff, and support new program leaders during onboarding.
- Maintain accurate training, competency, audit, and quality assurance records in compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications:
- RN with a current, valid Massachusetts license.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience; experience within DDS, ABI, residential, or human service settings preferred.
- MAP Trainer Certification and/or eligibility preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts MAP regulations, DPH and DDS requirements, and clinical documentation practices.
- Previous experience with staff training, competency evaluations, or quality assurance/compliance preferred.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel frequently between agency locations, including occasional evening or weekend sessions.
- Ability to observe and demonstrate medication administration techniques.
