Purpose of the Role
You will also serve as a Family Welcome Coordinator, acting as a welcoming first point of contact for families. You’ll help ensure a safe, organized, and supportive environment by assisting with client check-in, providing guidance to new participants, and supporting overall pool operations. You will also have other various customer service and administrative portions to the roll as well.
Key Responsibilities
Family Welcoming & Support
- Welcome and assist families, especially new participants, ensuring all requirements are met (including swimwear guidelines like double nappy systems)
- Educate families on available swim products and resources, and facilitate orders and exchanges
- Introduce new guests to the facility, teacher, and provide general orientation
- Collect required documentation and help families get familiar with the facility
- Manage class registers and attendance weekly
- Process product orders and exchanges, and distribute items (including photos)
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of poolside and changing areas (bins, floors, hazards, walkways)
- Conduct pool testing when required, following safety procedures (NOPs)
- Assist with pool cover removal and replacement when required
Operations & Team Support
- Respond to incidents such as pool issues, first aid situations, or schedule changes
- Report all accidents, incidents, or near misses in line with procedures
- Provide cover for team members when needed
- Maintain required qualifications and attend ongoing training (CPD)
- Contribute ideas to improve programs, operations, and customer experience
- Support promotion through positive interactions, events, and community outreach
Requirements
Essential
- Confident in the water and able to safely guide others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Able to meet the physical demands of an active role
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and variable hours
- Comfortable using basic technology for communication and admin
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification with 60 days of hire
- Having it currently is a plus
Desirable
- Experience working with children or in a teaching/childcare environment
- Knowledge of child development
- Customer service experience
