Bring Events to Life Through Technology
We are seeking a Lead Event Technology Specialist to support the on-site operation of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel’s Audio/Visual Technical Team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced audio/visual professional who enjoys working with technology, supporting live events, interacting with clients, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
In this role, you will provide customer service and technical support while helping ensure audio/visual equipment and event technology operate reliably from setup through the completion of each event.
What You’ll Do
- Provide creative technical audio/visual support for events and clients.
- Deliver, install, configure, test, and operate audio/visual equipment and electronic products.
- Maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment to ensure optimal performance and complete customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot technical problems in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide end-user training and assistance as needed.
- Maintain accountability for all audio/visual inventory before, during, and after each event.
- Support the operation and maintenance of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel’s in-house audio/visual equipment and assets.
- Provide excellent customer service while working directly with clients and event teams.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Minimum of two (2) years of audio/visual technical experience, preferably in a hospitality environment with responsibility for direct client interaction, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software packages.
- Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred:
- Associate Degree in Audio Engineering, Digital Media, Broadcast Technology, Communications, or a related field, or completion of studies in a technical or vocational school.
