Perform general and scheduled maintenance on building, grounds and all equipment. Troubleshoot, repair and rebuild equipment as it relates to electrical, plumbing, mechanical and hydraulics by methods such as: welding, soldering, wiring, fabricating, and painting/etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems, lift trucks and cranes with minimal supervision.
- Operate cutting torches and welder
- Diagnose and repair various types of equipment including hydraulics and pneumatic
- On-site trouble shooting and repair of machines.
- Fabricate replacement parts, machine guards, replace motors, tear down or replace pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution equipment or repair electro-mechanical equipment.
- Replace damaged electrical components.
- Document preventative and repair maintenance activities/
- Maintain work area in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
- Independent and team work skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
Work/Education Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in general maintenance work
- Previous welding and mechanical repair experience a plus
- Previous experience with plumbing and electrical systems a plus
- Ability to lift, move and carry 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to calculate and apply mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to practical situations
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
