Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Truck Driver who specializes in end dump, belly dump and low boy trailers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, tankers, belly dump, end dump, and lowboy trailers.
Duties
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailer, tanker, belly dump, end dump, and low boy trailers.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Utilize manual transmission as required for specific truck types.
- General knowledge in greasing and lubing.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a team or solo.
- Assist heavy equipment operators and support other crew members as directed
- Know how to load and unload with excavator, loader and/or backhoe.
Requirements
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), at least two (2) years of experience.
- A valid Texas Commercial Driver License (CDL) class A or B and Tanker endorsement is required and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
- Familiarity with various truck types such as freight trucks, tankers, belly dump, end dump, and low boy trailers.
- Strong understanding of load unloading procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to maintain good health and physical condition sufficient to permit the full performance of the duties of this position.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing in the English language and orally in the Spanish language.
- Experience in operating and maintaining excavators, backhoes, and loaders is essential.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.
