Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee our food service operations at the Genesee County Jail in Flint, Michigan.

Tigg's PREP Facilitator
-
Lead and supervise the daily food service operation.
-
Train, and coach, kitchen staff.
-
Ensure all meals are prepared and served according to company recipes, quality standards, and schedules.

Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and security regulations.

Manage food ordering, inventory, and cost controls.
-
Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
-
Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Communicate effectively with facility personnel and company leadership.

Ensure excellent customer service while maintaining company policies and procedures.

Previous management or supervisory experience in Correctional or Healthcare food service, institutional dining, or a high-volume kitchen preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment.

Ability to read, follow, and enforce standardized recipes and procedures.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

ServSafe Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to successfully obtain facility security clearance.

Full-time position
-
Monday through Friday (Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed.)

Availability to work varying shifts between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
