Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Manage sales transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and handle cash handling with integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing, and ensure the dining area is inviting at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food safety, proper food handling, and timely service.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items such as wine knowledge or cocktail options.
- Support guest needs proactively by offering recommendations based on culinary experience and food industry knowledge.
- Follow sanitation protocols diligently to uphold health standards in food preparation and serving areas.
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques enhances success in this role.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math skills for cashiering and transaction processing is essential.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in guest services roles such as host/hostess or bussing contributes to a well-rounded skill set.
- A background in food handling, food preparation, or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding culinary operations.
