Responsibilities
- Safely demolish buildings, walls, and other structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment while following all safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project scope and demolition requirements.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes to facilitate large-scale demolition tasks.
- Manage debris removal efficiently, ensuring site cleanliness and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Assist with site preparation activities including setting up safety barriers, scaffolding, and temporary supports.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate demolition phases with ongoing construction or restoration work.
- Conduct inspections of demolition sites to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work, demolition projects, or related fields with a strong understanding of demolition techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation such as excavators or loaders.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to demolition activities and OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with construction management practices including estimating, inspection, and project coordination is a plus.
- Skills in plumbing, electrical work, concrete forming, masonry, or carpentry are advantageous for versatile project support.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in challenging environments.
