Trend Technologies is a worldwide corporation specializing in the manufacture of sheet metal products and complex assemblies for many of the world's leading high tech companies. Trend Technologies has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Class A Driver at our Elk Grove Village, IL facility.
Job Overview:
You will operate 53' semi-truck delivering finished fabricated metal products to our customers and/or vendors, you will be home daily. When not on the road, you wll work in receiving when there is no requirements to drive.
Duties:
- Driving: Safely operate a 53' semi-truck for local deliveries in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Securing Loads: Expertly strap, chain, tarp, and secure heavy-gauge metal and steel parts.
- Receiving: Assist with picking, staging materials, loading and unloading.
- Compliance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate DOT logs.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and must pass mandated DOT physical and drug screenings.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT standards.
- Forklift Certification - Unload and Load trucks.
