Position Purpose:
Lead the financial planning and performance management functions of TCM, build the company operating budget, improve visibility into profitability, support stronger operational accountability, and help leadership run a tighter, more efficient, and more profitable company.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to work directly with executive leadership in improving financial performance, developing company budgets, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting the continued growth of the organization.

Position Overview
The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance and financial planning functions of Tolley Community Management. This position will partner with executive leadership and department managers to develop budgets, analyze profitability, improve operational efficiency, monitor key performance metrics, and support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will help ensure that TCM operates as efficiently and profitably as possible while maintaining strong financial controls, accountability, and useful reporting across the company. This role offers growth opportunity into expanded senior financial leadership responsibilities based on performance,demonstrated results, and the continued growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and manage the company's annual operating budget.
- Monitor performance against budget and provide recommendations.
- Create monthly financial and operational reporting packages.
- Analyze profitability, revenue trends, and expense management opportunities.
- Assist with forecasting and cash flow planning.
- Develop financial models to support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to increase profitability and operational efficiency.
Operational Performance
- Evaluate department performance and resource utilization.
- Work with department leaders to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Assist executive leadership with staffing and organizational planning.
- Provide performance metrics that support accountability throughout the company.
Financial Oversight
- Review company financial statements and reports.
- Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate reporting.
- Monitor internal controls and financial procedures.
- Support audit and compliance requirements.
- Assist in developing and documenting financial and operational processes.
- Ensure financial information is timely, accurate, and useful for management decisions.
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a financial advisor to executive leadership.
- Participate in long-term planning initiatives.
- Support company growth and expansion efforts.
- Evaluate the financial impact of major business decisions.
- Lead special projects designed to improve profitability and operational performance.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, business operations, or management.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience.
- Ability to interpret financial information and translate it into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Preferred
- HOA, property management, real estate, or service-industry experience.
- Experience with multi-entity business operations.
- Experience developing company budgets and KPI reporting systems.
- Experience improving operational processes and departmental performance.
- CPA, MBA, or similar credentials are a plus but not required.
- Experience with CINC Systems is preferred.
