Music Clubhouse Coordinator
Reports to: Music Clubhouse Manager
Location: 657 Middlesex St, Lowell, MA 01851
Salary/Hourly: $20.50–$21.50 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, 28 hours per week
Overview/Position Summary:
The Music Clubhouse Coordinator is a highly organized and creative individual who plays a key role in managing and delivering engaging music-based programming for over 300 members. As the second-in-command for the Music Clubhouse, they work closely with the Music Clubhouse Manager and take the lead in their absence.
This position involves supporting program development in areas such as music production, recording, DJing, podcasting, and digital media. The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Manager, Club staff, and volunteers to create a safe, inclusive, and high energy learning environment for youth participants.
Additionally, they provide guidance to youth leaders, helping them develop technical, creative, and leadership skills within the music space.
Responsibilities/Skills and experience relevant to this position:
● Assist in creating and implementing engaging music-based programming (Instruments, Recording, Beat-Making, DJing, Podcasting, etc.)
● Support daily Music Clubhouse operations serving over 200 members
● Provide feedback, supervision, and support to program staff and volunteers
● Maintain and organize music equipment, studio spaces, and digital resources
● Provide hands-on instruction and mentorship to youth in music production and audio technology
● Ensure compliance with all Club policies, safety procedures, and program standards
● Support execution of special events, performances, showcases, and community partnerships
● Track program data and provide monthly outcome reports
● Attend and participate in weekly youth service and program meetings
● Allocate and monitor work assigned to program volunteers and staff, providing ongoing feedback and evaluation
● Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned staff and volunteers
● Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities, participation data, achievements, and any incidents
● Ensure productive and effective performance by all assigned program staff and volunteers
● Assist in developing music and media curriculum for youth programming
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Strong relationship-building skills with youth, staff, and community partners
● Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with music software (e.g., Logic Pro, FL Studio, Pro Tools preferred)
● Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn
● Interest in working with multicultural teams and diverse communities
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
● Must understand and support Club values: Commitment, Excellence, Fun, Integrity, and Teamwork
● Must have supervisory experience
● Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
● Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
● Authorized to work in the U.S.
● MA or NH Driver’s License with a good driving record
● Ability to drive Club vehicles
● Ability to manage and supervise members ages 8–18 in a safe environment
● Ability to work in an environment with loud music and studio equipment
● All staff are required to complete training including safety, emergency response, and child abuse prevention
● Age requirement: 21+
● Bilingual preferred
● Ability to lift 50 lbs, use stairs, and communicate clearly
