Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with flatbed trailers across regional or national routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, adjusting plans as needed to meet delivery schedules.
- Handle various types of freight including potentially hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with flatbed trailers.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably and confidently.
- Experience handling refrigerated trailers, tanker loads, or other specialized freight is a plus.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to trucking operations.
- Strong manual handling skills for load & unload tasks; experience with forklift operation is advantageous.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems accurately while maintaining focus on road safety.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving route driving and logistics cargo handling preferred.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance at all times.

Pay: $8,000.00 - $12,000.00 per week
