The Role
We're looking for a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team in New London, MN. You'll be forming stainless steel parts to spec, running your own setups, and keeping quality high with minimal supervision. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to our Manufacturing Manager.
What You'll Do
- Set up, program, and operate the brake press to form stainless steel parts to drawing specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints; inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
- Safely operate overhead crane and forklift; maintain equipment and a clean, organized work environment
What You Bring
- 2+ years of brake press experience or 4+ years in manufacturing or a related industry
- Blueprint reading experience and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and take ownership of your work
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with other metal fabrication equipment (Pipe/Section Roll, Drill Press, Shear, Plate Roll, Seam Welder)
- Familiarity with stainless steel fabrication, sanitary standards, and rigging/lifting equipment
Travel:
- Occasional off-site visits to sub-contractors, customer sites, training facilities, equipment vendors, etc. (travel less than 5%)
