Parts Manager – Automotive - Chevrolet - CO
Our family-owned automotive dealership is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Parts Manager to lead our parts department and help drive operational success. We’re searching for a results-driven professional who understands how to operate an efficient and profitable parts department while supporting the service team and enhancing the customer experience.
- Hires, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
- Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
- Supervises stock order procedures.
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Improves customer satisfaction throughout fixed operations
- Maintain inventory levels by dollar amount and day’s supply according to company metrics
- Maintain inventory mix to achieve first time fill rate according to company metrics
- Work with vendors to maintain ideal commodity mix, tires, batteries and other items
- Process daily stock orders and verifies accurate receipting and processing
- Maintain obsolescence levels according to company guidelines
- Communicates daily with the service department to ensure special order parts are installed timely
- Administer payroll for all parts staff associates
- Enforce OSHA requirements, procedures and regulations
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Participate in operational planning
- Maintain the facility and equipment
- Conduct weekly department meetings/attend weekly manager meetings
Education and/or Experience
- Two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and inventory management skills
- Knowledge of dealership parts operations and inventory control best practices
- Driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and operating equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts.
