We’re looking for an experienced Aerospace Quality Engineer with a focus on Inspection to own inspection planning, calibration compliance, and continuous improvement in a precision machining environment. You’ll work hands-on with the team, collaborate across departments, and play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest aerospace standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and perform AS9100 First Article and Final Inspections
- Create inspection plans and ballooned drawings
- Own and maintain the calibration system (AS9100 / NIST compliant)
- Drive root cause analysis and CAPA using 8D, 5 Whys, and data-driven tools
- Analyze defect trends and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Support customer and AS9100 audits
- Partner with Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers to resolve quality issues
- Mentor and support Quality Inspectors
What You Bring
- Aerospace manufacturing experience with AS9100
- Strong First Article Inspection skills
- Hands-on inspection experience (CMM, calipers, micrometers, vision systems)
- Experience with CAPA, MRB, and problem-solving methodologies
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Degree in Engineering, Quality, or equivalent experience
