About Empress Investment Group
Are you looking to join a financial planning firm that is focused on making a meaningful difference? A firm that doesn't just talk about comprehensive planning, but actually delivers it for clients every day?
Empress Investment Group is a nationally recognized wealth management firm that has been ranked by Forbes for five consecutive years in the Best-in-State and Top Financial Security Professional categories. As a female-led firm, we are passionate about helping individuals and families make confident financial decisions and live with purpose.
We are seeking a polished, client-focused Wealth Advisor who enjoys working directly with clients, solving problems, building relationships, and developing into a senior advisory professional over time.
About the Role
This is not a back-office planning position.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, participating in meetings, building relationships, and becoming a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate has financial planning experience, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow into a senior advisory role over time.
Initially, this role will support financial planning, client meetings, insurance planning, and relationship management. As the advisor develops and demonstrates capability, they will assume greater responsibility for client relationships, review meetings, and advisory opportunities.
The successful candidate must be polished, capable of thinking on their feet, comfortable solving problems in real time, and confident interacting with clients both in person and virtually. Team members will be trained on Empress' planning philosophy, client review process, and client onboarding experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial plans and retirement projections
- Participate in and eventually lead client review meetings
- Assist clients with planning-related questions and recommendations
- Support retirement, investment, insurance, and wealth planning discussions
- Conduct client follow-up and help ensure planning recommendations are implemented
- Attend client events, educational workshops, and firm functions, as needed
- Collaborate closely with advisors, operations, and client service team members
- Maintain accurate CRM records and client documentation
- Continue developing advisory, planning, and relationship management skills
- Grow into managing client relationships and conducting meetings independently
Qualifications
Required:
- Series 65 or 66 license

- 3–5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, insurance, or a related advisory role preferred
- Experience participating in client meetings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Professional, confident, and client-focused demeanor
- Highly organized with strong follow-through
- Desire to build a long-term career as a financial advisor
Preferred:
- Experience using RightCapital or similar financial planning software
- CFP® candidate or interest in pursuing the CFP® designation
- Experience with retirement planning, investment management, and insurance planning
- Experience working directly with clients in an advisory capacity
Who Will Thrive in This Role
The ideal candidate is:
- Relationship-oriented and enjoys working directly with clients
- Comfortable discussing financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner
- Coachable, ambitious, and eager to continue developing professionally
- A team player who takes ownership and follows through
- Looking for more than a job — they are looking for a career path
- Excited about growing into a senior client-facing advisory role over time
- Dependable, growth-minded, and proactive
- Strives for excellence and genuinely enjoys helping others
What Success Looks Like
During your first year, you will participate in client review meetings, prepare and present financial planning recommendations, support existing client relationships, and become proficient in the Empress planning process.
As you develop and demonstrate capability, you will assume increasing responsibility for client relationships, conduct meetings independently, support new client onboarding, and have the opportunity to grow into a senior advisory role within the firm.
Long-Term Opportunity
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with firm leadership and experienced advisors while developing into a senior client-facing advisor. The successful candidate will be entrusted with increasing responsibility, client interaction, and relationship management as they demonstrate capability and growth.
