Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Duties:
- Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Provide animal husbandry services, including feeding, medicating and monitoring overall health
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by veterinarians
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples for diagnostic purposes
- Restrain animals during procedures or examinations
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately when communicating with team members and clients
- Perform animal catheterization when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennel areas
Skills:
- Proficient in aseptic technique for maintaining sterile environments
- Strong animal handling skills, ensuring the safety and well-being of animals
- Familiarity with animal husbandry techniques for various canines and felines
- Ability to provide compassionate pet care while maintaining professionalism
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and sample analysis
- Skilled in animal restraint techniques for safe handling during procedures
- Excellent understanding of veterinary terminology for effective communication
- Experience with animal catheterization procedures is preferred
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kennel areas
