Luxor Staffing is hiring a Diesel Mechanic paying up to $22 per hour. Weekly pay, possible overtime, incentive and bonus programs, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more!
Essential Duties
- Diagnose mechanical problems by inspecting vehicles and reviewing work orders.
- Perform preventive maintenance on diesel and gasoline trucks.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
- Overhaul diesel and gas engines.
- Inspect and adjust safety equipment, protective guards, and vehicle components.
- Lubricate moving parts and perform routine servicing.
- Road test vehicles after repairs to verify proper operation.
- Fabricate or modify lifting, towing, hydraulic, or specialty equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Keep the shop clean and organized.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience repairing diesel-powered trucks or fleet vehicles.
- Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be accepted.
