Digital Jr Project Coordinator - Must be in NY State
Some people see a busy project and feel overwhelmed. You see a list waiting to happen.
You notice the unanswered question, remember the loose end from last week’s meeting and instinctively want to turn a slightly chaotic conversation into clear owners, dates and next steps.
If that sounds familiar, this might be a great role for you.
I’m helping a growing North American digital consultancy find an early-career Digital Project Coordinator.
You’ll work directly with experienced people across digital strategy, UX, design, software development and marketing. Your job will be to help the team stay organized, communicate clearly and keep important work moving.
You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. This role is designed for someone with strong potential who wants to learn by being close to the work.
What might your day look like?
You could be updating a project tracker, preparing an agenda, following up on missing information or turning meeting notes into a clean action list. Later, you might test a website form, organize content for a presentation, research a new technology or take on one of those “Can you help us figure this out?” assignments.
The work will be varied. That is part of the appeal.
Think part project coordinator, part researcher, part quality checker and part professional cat herder.
You could be a great fit if you are:
- Naturally organized and good at keeping track of details
- A clear and thoughtful written and verbal communicator
- Comfortable reminding people about commitments and deadlines
- Curious about digital technology, marketing and AI
- Quick to learn new platforms and tools
- Willing to ask questions when something doesn’t make sense
- Resourceful enough to look for answers instead of waiting for instructions
- Reliable, calm and able to follow through
Previous project-management experience is helpful, but it isn’t essential.
Relevant experience might come from an internship, co-op, customer-service role, student organization, event, volunteer project, administrative position or a completely different job where you were the person who kept everyone organized.
What you’ll get:
- Direct exposure to senior digital professionals
- A chance to see projects move from idea to launch
- Coaching and opportunities to build practical project-management skills
- Experience across multiple areas of a digital business
- Meaningful responsibility without being expected to know everything on day one
- A remote, reduced-hours schedule
Role details:
