CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

Operate press brake safely according to specifications
-
Have first article bought off by lead, supervisor or inspector

Place metal stock in designated press brake machine, operate machine and bend material according to specifications

Check parts regularly for accuracy

Properly fill out and use dimensional verification sheets to monitor quality

Maintain proper documentation on all assignments in coordination with Quality Assurance

Ensure and record accurate counts

Essential

Minimum one years’ experience in a precision sheet metal environment

Good math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Good ability to read drawings

Ability to understand detailed verbal instructions

Manual dexterity

Must have own tools

High school graduate plus relevant vocational training (e.g. sheet metal work)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
