Patisserie SVOI is looking for an experienced Barista / Cashier to join our European-style bakery cafe in St. Louis.
We are looking for a professional, friendly, and reliable barista who is confident working with a La Marzocco espresso machine, can prepare high-quality espresso drinks, steam milk properly, and create basic latte art.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves coffee, desserts, customer service, and wants to work in a beautiful, fast-growing bakery cafe.
Pay
Starting compensation is $18/hr with tips.
Experienced baristas at SVOI average around $24–25/hr total with tips.
Schedule
30–35 hours per week
Weekend availability is required.
Opening and/or closing shifts may be required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, matcha, chai, tea, and specialty drinks
- Work confidently on a La Marzocco espresso machine
- Steam milk correctly and consistently
- Create basic latte art
- Take customer orders and use the POS system
- Explain pastries, cakes, macarons, and desserts to customers
- Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Restock cups, lids, boxes, milk, napkins, and supplies
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team
- Work quickly and calmly during busy rushes
- Open and/or close depending on schedule
Requirements
- Previous barista experience required
- Manual espresso machine experience preferred
- Latte art experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Reliable, clean, organized, and on time
- Positive attitude and good communication
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced cafe environment
- Weekend availability required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
